Experiment: Deconstructing Futura

First experiment in deconstructing a typeface. Every letter includes the following letter (alphabetically) by subtracting its volume.
The second letter is placed at the centre of the first, angled by 45^.

Strangely, it is up to the reader to decide which is negative and positive space reading either straight or on 45^.

Should the a be subtracted from z? Do we consider typefaces as a series of letters, or circles, or maybe single elements that belong to a whole.

Why should a be associated with b? Even worst when you consider some of these combinations are letters that don't like standing next to each other in most languages.

What is the use of such a typeface?

See examples below and try reading!
